Nominations for Board positions for San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association are being accepted now through September 1, 2010. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, you can email:
larazaelection@gmail.com. A candidate must be an attorney member in good standing, and may run for multiple positions. The Board is sworn in at the October dinner and serve for a term of one year. Available positions include:
· President
· Vice President
· Treasurer
· Secretary
· 11 at-large director positions
A Candidate Statement is required and due no later than: September 3, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Candidate Statements shall be no longer than 150 words, will not be edited, and will be forwarded to the membership via email and will be printed for the general meeting election.
Ballots will be issued on September 8, 2010 to the membership. Only attorney members are eligible to vote.
Electronic Voting available: September 8 -15, 2010. Electronic votes can be emailed to:
larazaelection@gmail.com. Votes submitted electronically will be counted up to: September 15 at 11:59 p.m. Election in person: September 16, 2010 @ County Bar beginning at 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Successful candidates will be sworn in at the October 9, 2010 Gala and will be expected to serve a one-year term, and attend monthly Board meetings in addition to other duties.
